The Novice squad is for ITR graduates and for others who have completed learn to row programs elsewhere in the last 12 months.

Novice Squad rowers have the opportunity to compete in local regattas and be selected for University Games crews, as well as being able to move up into the Intermediate and Senior Squads as their rowing skills become more advanced.

Due to safety reasons, novice rowers are not able to go out without a coach or senior club member and the Novice and Bridging squads are not able to take on beginner rowers. If you have no experience with rowing please find out about our Introduction to Rowing program here.

The Novice squad trains on Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.
